Nov 2012 The Taurus I /Dominator I UAS is readied for 1st test flight in HI. WA will conduct training with SLU in MO during early spring. May 2012 St. Louis University purchases the 1st Taurus UAS off the assembly line. SLU is partnering with WA and SIMLAT of Israel to conduct research on UAS in the National Airspace. The Nano was granted a COA from the FAA in Jefferson, Co., Ohio. Apr 2011 WA and DreamHammer complete 1st phase of flight tests with the Ballista software and our UAS products. Mar 2011 WA begins integration of the DreamHammer Ballista software into all WA UAS products. WA and DH will showcase the new software at the 2011 AUVSI Convention in Washington, DC. Oct 2010 WA was awarded a SBIR Phase 1 contract from NAVAIR PMA-264 for the design of a new Glide Away Precision Sonobuoy system that will eventually be integrated into the new P-8 Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Jul 2010 WA showcases the Nano Shrike III at the AUVSI Conference in Denver, CO. The Nano III was a huge success and got a lot of attention from local media and potential customers. Mar 2010 WA participates in the Balikatan 10 Exercise in the Philippines. The Nano Shrike II, NightStalker II and Snoopy II UAS were demostrated to USMC and USA personnel. Apr 2009 WA participates in the Balikatan 09 Exercise in the Philippines. The Nano Shrike II and NightStalker II UAS were demostrated to USMC and USA personnel. Feb 2009 WA Tier I UAS products were demonstrated to USMC and USA personnel during the Cobra Gold Exercise in Thailand. The demonstration were funded by ONR/HTDV and the UAV systems were evaluated by the MARFORPAC MEC. Oct 2008 WA started work on the Snoopy II HALE UAV project that is funded by HTDV/ONR. The Project will explore high altitude, long endurance flight using a hybrid electric, solar and fuel cell technologies. The Snoopy II will also provide a communications link for other small Tier I UAV's. Dec 2007 The Nano Shrike MUAV completes initial flight testing in Hawaii. The tests included aircraft stability and video/ground station system shakedown. Multiple flights were conducted and showed the MUAV was stable in winds up to 25 kts. Next steps include complete testing of the autopilot and further video checks. Oct 2007 The NightStalker Mini UAV is selected as a prototype for the USMC's MRRCIS vehicle. The MRRCIS is a 4 passenger command and control vehicle that will use the UAV to search ahead of a marine expeditionary unit and provide precision targeting to ground units and the F/A-18's overhead. WA is providing the aircraft to Hawaiya Technologies who oversees the MRRCIS project. Mar 2011 WA begins integration of the DreamHammer Ballista software into all WA UAS products. The Nano Shrike MUAV is the first aircraft known to be constructed from nano composite materials (developed by Oceanit) and is a revolutionary design that takes advantage of the advanced composite materials to give it superb strength at a fraction of the weight of more conventional materials. The Nano Shrike will be a man portable system that is designed to be used by a small platoon to "look over the hill" and provide precision targeting. Sep 2006 WA and Ambient-Micro are awarded HTDV/ONR contract to develop Hybrid UAV Propulsion System with Energy Harvesting Technology
